Regulations and Terms of Enrollment
Please read the regulations carefully to
avoid future inconveniences.
1. General Course Enrollment Terms
A. Participation in language courses at Language
Links is permitted to registrants who have settled the payment for the
courses to which they are enrolled. Candidates must be at least 16 years of
age. Courses for teens accept candidates from age 12.
B. Candidates must be familiar with the
alphabet of the language studied, and if not, they will be required to attend
an appropriate preparatory course. Short-term Hebrew courses for tourists will
not require knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet.
C. Each course begins with a unique pre-course
training workshop. This workshop will teach you how to learn a language
effectively in terms of organization, learning skills and strategies for
learning a foreign language. We re-introduce these strategies and add to them throughout
the courses. As part of the workshop you will receive a learning kit from us,
as a gift from us, in order to help you organize your studies.
D. Participation in a course at the next
level is conditioned on the teacher's opinion and on a grade of at least 70 on
an achievement test performed at the end of each course. The student will be
involved in the process to ensure the best possible course placement. During
the course short quizzes will be conducted to help you evaluate your progress.
E. You are able to register to courses at
any of these channels, at your convenience:
1. By telephone or fax at 972-(0)3-6043288
on Sundays through Thursdays, from 10:00 to 20:00, on Fridays from 08:00 to
14:00, or at www.language-links.com through self-registration via Credit card
only.
2. In person at the Language Links office
or on the actual course site, via cash or credit card or checks.
3. Students under the age of 18 must attach
a letter of consent from their parents to the course registration form at
Language Links.
2. Terms of Payment for Courses
A. Participation in the course will only
be possible after payment is settled. A credit card number has to provided for
ensuring payment and will not be charged without registrant consent.
B. Payments can be made in accordance
with the terms of the agreement with the registrant’s credit card company. 1.
In a regular arrangement: in one payment or in installments as determined by
the course price range. 2. In a credit-type payment arrangement, as determined by
the credit card holder and the credit card companies. Language Links is not
responsible for any changes that may be made to these arrangements. Payment in
the credit arrangement is possible only within the credit limit of the
cardholder, and usually involves the payment of interest in accordance with the
rates and dates determined by the bank / credit card company.
C. Payment by check / checks: in one
payment or in equal monthly payments up to the number of payments determined by
the course price range. The date on the first check will be at one week before
the start of the course or at the date of the registration day (the later of
the two dates). In any event, the date of the last check date will be no later
than one month before the end of the course. Checks should be addressed to
"Noel Dunsky" and attached to the registration form.
D. In the case of a work place or other body
paying for the course: a formal letter of r paying party must be attached to
the registration form. The letter shall include the name of the authorized
person for payment and their signature, the stamp of the organization, the
number of the PHC \ VAT registry number \ income tax deductions file) and a
written obligation to pay Language Links for tuition fees and other payments, as
directed by course enrollment regulations.
E. Number of payment instalments: A
single cash payment is possible and merits a 5% cash discount, or credit card
(2 to 3 payments for a course costing up to 3000 ILS, 4 payments for a course
costing over 3000 ILS, 5 payments for a course costing over 6000 ILS).
3. Language Course Prices
A. The prices listed on the Language
Links website at the time of registration are the applicable prices.
B. Textbooks are not included in the
course price and payment for them is made separately from the course cost.
C. In most courses the same textbooks are
used by the student for 2 to 3 consecutive courses. Additional study materials
are included in the course price.
D. The course price includes a
registration fee of 100 NIS, which includes a fee for a level placement test.
The registration fee will not be refunded in case of cancellation of a course
according to the regulations, and the result of the placement test is valid for
6 months.
4. Cancellation of Course and Conditions for a Refund
Below are the procedures for canceling
enrollment at Language Links:
A. A request to cancel the course will be
made in writing (or by e-mail) to the Language Links office at
info@language-links.com. The cancellation request will be deemed to have been
received only after obtaining a confirmation email from the office.
B. For any cancellation of the course,
which was received up to 48 hours prior to the first session of the course,
Language Links will charge a cancellation fee of 100 NIS. In the event where
cancellation requests are submitted for a number of courses, Language Links
will charge a cancellation fee of NIS 100 for each course purchased (for
example, a person who purchased a package of three courses will pay NIS 300
cancellation fees).
C. For each cancellation request, made
between 48 hours before the first session of the course and up to 24 hours
after the second session of the course, Language Links will charge a cancellation
fee of 20% of the course price and a cancellation fee of 100 NIS. In the event where
cancellation requests are submitted for several courses purchased as a package,
Language Links will also charge an additional NIS 100 cancellation fee for each
course. (For example: a person who purchased a package of three courses will
pay 20% of the price of the course he started, and in addition 300 NIS
cancellation fee for three courses).
D. There will
be no refund for a cancelation course enrollment request made more
than 24 hours after the second session of the course, in which case Language
Links will charge the full cost (100% of the course price). It will not be
possible to use tuition fees paid for another course at a later time.
E. There will
be no refunds for study materials or textbooks.
F. A private lesson
that is not canceled at least 24 hours prior to its scheduled time will be
charged in full.
G. In the event of a cessation of studies
due to an unexpected, special and prolonged constraint that does not allow for regular
course participation for at least 21 days, you should immediately contact the Language
Links office, in writing or by e-mail, and attach relevant documents. Any
request will be examined on a case-by-case basis, at the discretion of Language
Links. The request must be sent immediately after the event that caused the
cessation of studies occurred.
5. Language Course Placement | Class size | Course
levels
A. Placement for a course at a certain
level is done according to the Language Links level placement test. If the placement
test or participation in a course took place more than 6 months prior to
re-enrollment, a new placement test must be taken. The placement test takes up
to 45 minutes. An appointment for a level assessment must be arranged in
advance by phone at 972-(0)3-6043288.
B. Our courses are based on a
registration of at least 6 students and no more than 12. If less than 6
students have enrolled by the beginning of the course, we reserve the right to
decide whether to run or cancel this course or to postpone its start date. If
possible, applicants will be offered the option of joining another course,
joining the same course at a later date or receiving a full refund of the
payment except for the registration fee. On request, the course will also be
possible with less than 6 participants at the premium group price.
C. Courses at Language Links meet the
standards of the Common Euro[ean Framework for Languages (CEFR). A1, A2 levels consist
of two standard courses of 72 academic hours each. Levels B1, B2, C1, C2
include three standard courses of 72 academic hours each. An academic hour is
based on 45 minutes.
D. Course content is determined according
to professional considerations made by Language Links.
E. Customer satisfaction feedback forums will
be held in the middle and end of a course , in which students will be able to
share comments and issues about the course. We will be happy to hear from you
about any issue or problem that arises during the course, first through the
group's teacher or through the office.
6. Confirmation of Participation in a Course
A condition for obtaining a confirmation
of participation in the form of a certificate attesting to the level of the
course taken is student attendance in at least 80% of the sessions.
7. Rules of Conduct and Procedure during Course
Sessions
A. The students and students are expected
to maintain proper conduct during courses at Language Links that will enable
students to study in a pleasant atmosphere. Students are expected to arrive on
time, turn off smartphones and other noisy devices, actively participate in
class and listen to each other with respect.
B. Language Links reserves the right to expel
course participants who violate expectations for proper class conduct and jeopardize
the learning atmosphere, without providing any refund.
C. Students should be aware that in order
to succeed in the course and improve their language skills they must attend all
the sessions and learn the content of the session they missed. In addition,
students must participate in class activities and do assignmnents at home. Some
assignments will be checked in class and some will be checked by the teacher. Instructions
for home assignments will be posted to the course whatsapp group.
8. Definitions
Course:
A group of sessions conducted on regular
days and hours and on fixed dates determined in advance.
Payment is made in full in advance or in
installments, in cash or by credit card.
The dates of the meetings cannot be
changed except in full coordination with the course teacher, the students and
the office.
The course may be a group or a "one-on-one”
private course.
Private course contents are tailored to
the client's needs.
private lesson:
A one-time or multiple-time session with
one to three students at variable and flexible days and times.
Payment is made at the end of each
individual session in cash or within a package of private lessons.
It is possible to change the time of a private
lesson no less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled time, by phone or by email.
A private lesson that is not canceled at
least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time will be charged in full.
Private lesson content is tailored to the
client's needs.
9. Responsibility of Language Links |
Force Majeure
Liability of Language Links and staff is
limited to cases of mal intent and gross negligence. Language Links is not
responsible for loss of studies due to force majeure cases (such as natural
disaster, fire, flooding, war, closure by order of authorities or other
circumstances beyond the control of the parties concerned).
10. Updates to Regulations
A. Language Links reserves the right to
make changes to all rules, regulations and curricula without giving personal
notices to active or prospective course participants.
B. Unexpected changes: Changes in course
schedule may occur due to unexpected constraints. In addition, a situation may
arise in which it will not be possible to hold a session despite all efforts
made. The right to change is reserved for Language Links. Unexpected changes do
not constitute grounds for a refund or any claim towards Language Links.
