Noel Dunsky | Manager and Teacher

Noel Ben-Dunsky, originally from Tel Aviv, has been teaching languages in various private settings for the past 20 years. He has helped hundreds of satisfied students improve their language abilities and achievements in both English and Hebrew as foreign languages.

Two of his biggest passions are languages and the ability to communicate with people in their native tongue and that is why he devotes his time to learning and teaching languages. Noel’s academic background lies in the fields of psychology, communication and teaching Hebrew and English as foreign languages. He possesses a vast general and cultural knowledge, travels the world and is eager to implement his language knowledge by actively communicating with speakers of different languages.

He was raised in an English-speaking home and has been learning languages since the age of 6, as from an early age he has demonstrated a talent for languages. He integrates this talent with his teaching skills and passion for teaching others interested in knowing languages. Noel is highly familiar with the language learning world from the perspective of both learner and teacher and thereby is aware of the needs of students as well as of the ways a teacher should cater to these needs.

On a personal note:

"I aspire to develop a language talent and the love for languages among my students, who wish to invest in improving their communication skills. As an ‘eternal’ student and teacher of languages I have gained a lot of experience in the field and create my own teaching materials. I have been collecting many of the existing learning materials, am a member in teachers’ professional development organizations and give presentations in conferences. I have developed an integrated approach to foreign language learning in a manner which is both organized and enjoyable, with the goal of applying what is learned to real life outside of the classroom.

It is very important to me to emphasize the practice of language learning skills, namely using various strategies on ‘how to learn a language’. I believe that language learners must study the target language and also become aware of how they learn it, in order to take responsibility for one’s learning, which will lead to proven results. Together we can overcome barriers and fear of learning a foreign language and move step by step up the ladder of the different language levels.

It is important to remember that if you want to advance in a language in a quick, sure and efficient manner, you really must put the time and effort because there are actually no short cuts to real long term language learning that lasts. I want to teach you how to do it! I speak English, Hebrew, German and French because I made the effort and looked for the best ways to improve my knowledge. One of my biggest dreams is to master at least 8 languages as a life project! The next languages I must learn are: Spanish, Italian, Arabic and Russian, and why stop here?

I always say that it is never too late to learn a new foreign language and research has shown that active language learning at any age provides the best ‘exercise’ for your brain and can prevent memory and cognitive failure at old age.”
